Bokros Band – Bethlehem, Bethlehem

The Bokros Band’s Advent and Christmas program, entitled “Bethlehem, Bethlehem,” promises to be an uplifting and entertaining program that encourages everyone to sing along. The compositions, written for two hurdy-gurdies, a koboz (a type of lute), and of course singing voices, consist of the most beautiful and unique winter folk songs of the Hungarian tradition. The melodies evoking the mystery of Christmas are framed by the beautiful hurdy-gurdy tunes of the Great Plain, as well as historical Hungarian and Western European musical works.

In addition to special and rarely heard Christmas melodies, the concert will also feature well-known festive songs in the hope that we can await the birth of the Lord Jesus by singing together.
