The Debrecen Folk Ensemble began its history 75 years ago and has been a defining figure in Hungarian folk dance ever since, not only in Debrecen but also beyond the borders of Hungary. In honor of this notable anniversary, the ensemble will welcome its audience with a festive gala performance in the grand hall of the Kölcsey Center.

What makes this evening special is that former and current dancers will perform together on stage, recalling the most memorable choreographies of the past 75 years. The gala will also feature bands that have played a defining role in the life of the ensemble for decades and have helped shape its unique sound.
