On December 13, the city is covered in ice: the magical, fairytale atmosphere of the Ice Flower Carnival envelops Debrecen. The ice glitters, music plays, and the scent of Christmas fills the air.
On a day when snowflakes dance in the air, the sounds of brass bands and children’s laughter mingle with the scent of chimney cakes, and every moment brings back a little bit of the wonder of childhood.
Stories frozen in ice, dances dressed in light, and frosty surprises await all those who believe that winter is a time of magic.

5:00 p.m. – Ice Flower Carnival Parade
Parade route: Szent Anna Street – Piac Street – Kossuth Square
The streets of Debrecen are filled with music, dance, and Christmas magic!
Contributors: Debrecen Majorette Ensemble, Valcer Dance Studio, LESZ Dance and Sports Association, Piruett Dance Studio, drama students from Ady Endre High School, Zichy Youth Wind Orchestra Hajdúszoboszló, Sing! Singing Studio Debrecen.
At the beginning of the parade, Anna Berettyán, a student at Ady Endre High School, will sing the most famous song from Frozen. In keeping with this theme, we warmly welcome everyone dressed in Frozen, elf, or Christmas costumes!
Santa Claus will arrive by carriage, and the brass band will set the mood with Christmas music.
A flower cart decorated for Christmas, complete with magical elves, will round out the spectacle.
8:30-10:00 p.m. – Ice skating disco at the ice rink – coming soon!
We will end the day with a real winter party – with music and lights!
