Formed in 1984, the band has given more than a thousand concerts over the past 40 years, and has made numerous radio, television and recordings at home and abroad. They have been a regular participant of the Debrecen Wine and Jazz Days and have played at the Dresden Dixieland Festival and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. The orchestra was awarded the Audience Prize at the 25th Megéve Jazz Competition in 2018.

The Debrecen Dixieland Jazz Band’s concert on 15 December at 16:00 will also feature Christmas songs from the gospel genre at the Advent Fair.
