The four musicians met in Budapest at a jam session, the most typical venue for jazz musicians. All four represent different musical worlds – their repertoire consists of jazz, Latin music, manouche, and Brazilian songs. This diversity, improvisation, and love of jazz are the essence of their formation.
Flóra Kováts is a singer with ties to Debrecen who spent time in Barcelona immersing herself in Latin music and bossa nova, and is currently based in Budapest.
Balázs Cseh is an extremely versatile musician who performs in numerous groups and is a well-known jazz drummer on the Hungarian jazz scene, who also provides rhythm on guitar in this group.
The two young talents, Árpád Grócz and Márton Papp, are studying in Austria; Márton is studying saxophone at the Vienna Academy of Music, while Árpád is developing his talent in jazz guitar at the Graz Academy of Music, but they also perform regularly in Hungary with their Hungarian and international bands.
The band is preparing Christmas jazz and French songs for Advent in Debrecen, to conjure up a wonderful festive atmosphere in the main square at 6 p.m. on December 19.
